Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah over the past weeks we have held a wide range of events here at Al Falah. For those of you were not able to join here is a small tidbit of what has been taking place!
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
Al Falah organized a luncheon to show our appreciation for the support and assistance of our volunteers. The various programs we offer at Al Falah would not be possible without their hard work.
Eid Mela in partnership with ICNA Sisters
ICNA Sisters in partnership with Al Falah arranged an Eid Mela for the community in preparation for Eid! The mela had something for everyone featuring a bazaar, food stalls and a bouncy castle.
Al Falah this year held three Eid prayers all of which were packed to capacity. We hope you all had a wonderful time with your family on this blessed day!
Community Eid BBQ
In celebration of Eid al-Adha, Al Falah organized a community Eid BBQ for everyone to enjoy. Despite the rain, we had a great turnout! A special thanks to our generous sponsors for making this BBQ possible.
Summer Basketball Camps
Our summer basketball camps were a great success catering to a wide demographic. The next sessions will be beginning soon Inshallah. (see below for more details)
Drop in Basketball
Alhamdulillah, we have been receiving an excellent turnout at our drop in basketball program averaging 25-30 people per session!
Al Falah Islamic Centre has some exciting events and programs planned during the next several weeks. Find out more about what we have planned!
Community Open House Saturday, September 24th, 2016
Al Falah is hosting a community open house to initiate the channels of communication between the Muslim community and our neighbors of other faiths. As we all know, individual and community outreach and interaction are key to reversing the current growth in anti-Muslim sentiment in our society.
Please pick the invitation cards from the Masjid and invite your neighbors, classmates, coworkers and friends to the open house!
Al Falah Islamic Centre is a thriving Masjid/Mosque that supports the Oakville, Milton, Mississauga and surrounding communities. Al Falah's mission is to provide religious, social, and educational services to facilitate the healthy spiritual and intellectual growth of the community resulting in the betterment of society. We aim to be a centre where authentic, relevant, meaningful and transformative knowledge is disseminated. Al Falah is a project of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Canada.
